You can use it when you&39;re talking about two things and the first thing has already been mentioned.

So for example. My first wish is to go to Alaska. The other is to see the Northern Lights.
另外一个是去看极光。所以呢‘other’这里是当做名词使用，它作为一个代词代替‘wish’ 。
So &39;other&39; is acting as a noun here, it&39;s a pronoun replacing &39;wish&39;. And it&39;s okay to do this because it&39;s clear what we&39;re talking about, we already mentioned that the first wish was I want to go to Alaska so when we use the &39;other&39;, we&39;re obviously referring to &39;wish&39; but there is something that you need to keep in mind.
